A Fun Girls' Weekend!

On Friday night, at 6:30, my best friend Anna who I've known her entire life came with her mom, Shalina! They were coming to celebrate Anna's birthday by coming to the American Girl Doll Store here in Atlanta, since there is no store there in North Carolina. They came and Anna, me and my sister, Isabelle played together on Friday on our DS's playing Mario Kart DS; DS Download, Nintendogs Bark Mode, Pacman VS. and PictoChat until dinner, pizza from Domino's, was ready! We watched the 2010 Vancouver Olympic games; Men's Curling. We then gave Anna an envelope including a 'Happy Birthday, Anna!' card and a story by Isabelle called The Mystery of the Creaking Doorway. Anna loved the story. Anna got out her toy Wizards Of Waverly Place wand and I read them a story I wrote with Anna, me, Isabelle, and Anna's brother Kevin (my best friend I've known since I was 9 months old) in it called Young Wizards: Magic Awry, and whenever their characters said a spell, they used the wand to cast it on either me, Anna, Isabelle or the Invisible Kevin. We then all went to bed, but not really to bed. We played DS's, and I told them funny stories with villians who blow up with TNT, which everyone thought was hysterical. Isabelle then dozed off, and me and Anna stayed up, creating her imaginary friends. Being the funny Anna she is, Anna made two of her imaginary friends be named Poopa (real name Jacob) and Peeba (real name Gracie). Me and her died laughing, but my mom and Ms. Shalina came up and made us go to bed.

The next day, I went to my friend Katelynn's birthday party while Anna and Ms. Shalina went to the American Girl Doll Store with their friends Suzanne and Avery. After my party was over, we met up with Anna and Ms. Shalina at the store. I got my doll, Kit's ears pierced, and Isabelle got her doll, Rebecca's hair put into 2 braids. Since we can go to the American Girl Doll Store whenever we want since we live only 30 minutes away and Anna can't, she got things done to her doll, Jane but didn't get anything done to her other doll, Lanie. When she was there with Suzanne and Avery she got her Just Like Me doll, Jane's hair put into ponytails, and when we got there after Suzanne and Avery left, Anna got her doll Jane's ears pierced. We then looked around at the cute American Girl outfits, and all three of us girls got these cute red shirts with a square of 9 stars with 3 diagonal ones white and the rest silver, and on top of the square it said American Girl ATLANTA. We even got matching shirts for our dolls. We then left, and Anna rode with us and we all watched Kit Kittredge, An American Girl on the way home. We then went downstairs and played 'Food Time' until dinner was ready, then went back downstairs and played 'Princesses' until it was time for bed. This time, we actually went to bed this time.

The next day, (TODAY) we all woke up and put on our red AMERICAN GIRL ATLANTA shirts with long sleeve white shirts under them with jeans. We all then went to Babyland General in Cleveland and saw a baby get born and looked at all the babies. In the BabyLand New Born Nursery, we got to hold newborn babies and get pictures with them, and Isabelle found one called Bella Nell. In the lobby, we saw tons of big kids, and Anna found one called Anna Colette. We saw a school bus with BABYLAND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL written on it, and I saw a doll called Bunnie Zora, I just only liked the Zora part. The baby born was a girl and this birthday kid there named it Isabella Louise. When we were leaving after the baby was born, me, Anna and Isabelle were all talking about how the name Isabella was fine, just not Louise. We then got tons of pictures, and then went to McDonald's to eat. I got 10 chicken nuggets and ate everything, and so did Belle and Anna got a 6 piece Kid's Meal and she ate everything. Then, they left and we were so sad. But at least we'll see Anna, Kevin and Ms. Shalina in the summer!

Sleepover

My sister, Isabelle's friend Morgan is coming over to spend the night and my friend, Hope, is coming over as well! So tonight I will be playing with Hope, and she and I get to hold, feed, and maybe even soak my bearded dragon lizard, Zora! Hurray! I WILL HAVE FUN TONIGHT CHITLINS!!!

No More Glasses For Me! It's Contact Time!

After school, I went to the eye doctor, and I got to get contacts! The only problem? I can't get them out. My mom will have to literally tie me to the couch and have my dad amputate my eyes to get these things out! Okay, not really but it's funny to say. ANYWAY, I had the eye doctor get my contacts, in I just am scared to get them out! I'm not kidding peeps, you've gotta look straight and you have to take your left hand and hold your eye lid up, and pull the bottom of your eye down with your right middle finger, then you take your right forefinger and thumb and pinch the contact to get it out. Now ya see why I'm all freaked out about getting these eyebally things out! I also got a green and white case for my contacts and some liquid thingy you have to put in the case to keep the contacts happy little eyebally things, it's like they're living in a pool! I guess it's summertime for them everyday. They must have learned to swim when they were water. Wait, they'd have to swim in themselves....what are contacts made of again?

VALENTINE PARTY!

Today at my school we had an Early Release day and so we partied the entire day. First, we ate doughnuts shaped like hearts and had orange juice. A girl in my class named Baylee's mom is our room mom, and she brought some CD's to school so we listened to "I've Got A Feeling", "Rock Star", "All The Single Ladies," and had a blast. Next, we listened to the CD and watched a bubble blowing contest. My group was me, Sarah, Baylee, Hope, and Crystal. My teacher, Ms. Davis was judging and using my camera to take pictures. In my group, Baylee won, (I didn't blow my best bubble) and in the final round, it was Myliah, Baylee, Vivian, Anayely, Aquaveun and Amanda. We crowned Anayely champion! She blew a bubble about the size of her face! Next, we played some and opened our valentines! I got tons of candy, which I love (candy is my favorite sugar!) I got a valentine from everyone in my class, even some of my teachers! I had a ton of fun! We then turned off the lights and we watched Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown. We then packed up at about 11: 20 and they started calling Car Riders about 11:25. Since I stay in my classroom until they call WolfPack (my school's afterschool program for kids who have to stay late because their parents are at work or something) I got to write the buses and play with Hope and Cameron! Talk about a fun day!

The Great Big Sleepover and More

Yesterday, (AKA: Wednesday, December 30th) I was going to go to a sleepover at my friend Flavia's house. Flavia, me, her other friend Ashley, and me and Flavia's BFF Katelyn were going to have a big bash in Flavia's room, sleeping over. At first, that was the plan. But then, when Ashley told her mom, her mom said, "That's way too many people for a sleepover! No!" So Ashley dropped out of the sleepover. So it was just me, Flavia, and Katelyn. Well, I was bored the day I was going to Flavia's, so I was just playing GameHouse's COLLAPSE! when my phone rang. It was Katelyn calling me. "Want to play?" She asked. "Yeah! Sure, I'm coming." So I went over to Katelyn's house, and we played. Katelyn's younger brother, Lucas was also there. He played Wii with me and Katelyn. After I left Katelyn's house, I went home and packed. My dad then took me to Flavia's and we started to play. First we played SceneIt? Disney Edition and Flavia won just because the tie breaker said: 'The shorter person wins!' Me and Katelyn were really mad, because that's totally not fair for tall people. After that, we spied on Flavia's brother Rod who was trying to shoot us with a plastic gun that shot foam darts. Wow. Scary. (Yawn) He was wearing these 3D glasses with the lens popped out, and he looked like a nerd. Once that catastrophe was over, we ate dinner, which was spaghetti (yum) and water. We had cookies 'n cream ice cream for desert. It was delicious! We then went to sleep, after playing some more.


TODAY: I left Flavia's house, and me and Flavia went over to Katelyn's house! We played, but then Flavia left. We then came on my blog (which you are reading) goodbye

Thanksgiving Day

Every year we go to my great-grandmother's house for Thanksgiving to have a party with my entire family. We eat dinner and everybody brings a dish, and I play with my cousins. Last year, after dinner, me, my cousins Alex, Russell, Chris and Ian played 'Broom Hockey' with brooms as sticks and a ball as a puck. Near the end of the party, every kid under the age of 18's name gets put on a piece of paper that's folded up so no one can see it. Then all the kids line up and draw a name from the bowl. Whoever's name you get, you bring a present for them at the Christmas Eve party at my uncle's house. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE PARTY TODAY!!!!!! Happy Thanksgiving! Eat a lot and get full!

GFL Cheer-Off 2009 Buford Wolves 4th Grade Cheerleaders GOT THIRD PLACE IN CHEER-OFF'S LARGE DIVISION! *YAHOOO!!!!!!*

I just got back from performing in the 2009 GFL Cheer-Off. I was in the 4th Grade Large Division this year instead of being in the middle division like last year. Anyway, we performed our dance after Mill Creek and before Brookwood and Grayson. Afterwards, the placings were this:


4th: Lawrenceville Black Knights
3rd: Buford Wolves
2nd: Peachtree Ridge Lions
1st: Grayson Rams



Hey, 3rd is better than nothing like we got last year! I got a plaque that says GFL Cheer-Off 2009, a white 3rd place ribbon, and my poster that my awesome mom, dad and sister Isabelle made that says 'Go Hayden!' and is gold and glittery and it has a megaphone, me cheering, and is so CUTE!!!! Next year, me and my squad hope we can get a higher place! (But we're still glad that we got a placing!)

Sometimes ya just get bored.....

Well it's happened for the first time in my life: I'm bored. Well....okay fine not the first time I've been bored, but I haven't been in a really long time. Okay fine, only during school but THAT'S another story. Anyway, I can't think of anything to write about. So I'm just going to put random stuff on this post so don't laugh. Here is all about me:



1. My name is Hayden. And I love writing stories.

2. My friends' names are Katelyn and Lucas, Katelynn, Juliet, Flavia, Stella, Cameron and Caleb, Kevin and Anna and a lot of other people. (I couldn't write everybody's name because that would be a long, long, long, long, LONG list!!!!

3. Okay, now I've got nothing.

I found out that the reason Zora my lizard isn't eating as well is because she's SHEDDING! And the new skin she's getting is ORANGE! My favorite color! And that also means she's a fancy bearded dragon. I feel much, much, much, MUCH better knowing that my lizard is okay!! :-)

Uh oh......

Here are two bad things happening right now:


1. My lizard Zora isn't eating as well. She might be sick. OH NO! :-(
2. They might be closing the Buford Public Library in February even though it's ALWAYS packed!


Now you can see why this is labled 'Uh Oh'. :-(

Zora Allisyn Wiggs: The Brand New Member of the Family

Zora Allisyn Wiggs

Yesterday, the Wiggs family got a new addition. A Bearded Dragon girl lizard who I named Zora Allisyn Wiggs. Zora's habitat is located on the table behind the couch in the living room, and here's the cute part...SHE'S ONLY 3 MONTHS OLD!!! So that means she's still a baby! She's the most AZORABLE little girl I've ever seen. She's a light brown color and on her back she's got a plaid type of pattern. She is VERY (and when I say very, I mean REALLY) active and she loves climbing up rocks and trees in her terarium. She loves me, and she's REALLY friendly. When we got her, the PetSmart lady put her hand in Zora's cup she was coming home in and Zora just climbed right up her arm. I don't think trying to get her to hold her will be that hard. She loves eating crickets and vegtables, and it's cool to watch her eat. She eats just like we do! Zora apparently likes playing tricks on my mom, cause this morning she was sleeping and my mom walked past her and thought she was dead. But when I said the words 'cricket breakfast' she perked right up as if she were playing a dirty little trick on my mom. I think I picked out the best, most active, most adorable, most friendly bearded dragon in the PetSmart. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY ZORA ALLISYN WIGGS!!!!

Bad News + Good News= GOING BACK TO SCHOOL

Well, today we found out who my teacher was going to be. Isabelle got Mrs. Camp (who she'd had for a teacher in kindergarten) and I got Mrs. Davis. I was sort of depressed, because my mom had told me that my best friend Flavia was in Mrs. Brewer's class and my other friend Kristen was in Mrs. Jones's class. So then I went up to my room and talked to Flavia and found out that we are next door neighbours. Me and Flavia have been in the same class ONCE in first grade, and then never again. Every year we cross our fingers hoping that we'd be in the same class again. But no. We weren't. Next I called my friend Katelyn, and left a message. I started crying and I was complaining. But then, my mom called and told me that my best friend Hope and my buddy Cameron were in my CLASS! WHOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I can't write any more because I am going on a calling and emailing spree to find out who else in my class. SEE YA LATER!

North Carolina Week

Me, my mom and my sister went to visit my mom's friend Shalina O'Flaherty and her two kids Kevin and Anna. My mom and Shalina met when my mom started a playgroup right after I was born. Mrs. Shalina signed up with Kevin (Anna and Belle weren't born yet) and then they turned out to be the best of friends. 3 years later, they had Anna in January and Belle in March. Then years later, we came to their house and played and played and played. We even found out that we have 'wizard powers'! Plus, we entered the WIZARDS ON DECK WITH HANNAH MONTANA SCAVENGER HUNT SWEEPSTAKES which if you won you got Hannah Montana's anklet, three Wizards of Waverly Place wands, and a life preserver signed by the entire cast. Kevin said that there was a 50% chance of winning and a 50% chance of losing. We don't know yet, but on August 9th, I will tell ya'll. On the last day there was a lot of weeping and wailing and I wish we didn't have to leave. And to make it even worse, it took 5 HOURS to drive home! But at least we get to see them next summer.

A 'ReMARCOble' Weekend

For a weekend in June, me, Isabelle, my mom, my dad, my grandma, and my grandpa went to Marco Island Florida to meet my great-grandparents. We woke up EARLY the Thursday morning we left, to get to the Parking Spot. When our bus FINALLY came, it took us to the Hartsfield Jackson International Airport. We had gotten there three hours early for we thought security would take forever. Luckily, we got through security in about 10 or 20 minutes, not like most trips when it takes 3 hours. We went to our gate which was C7, and we waited. Our plane took off at 1:00, and it was already 12:00, so we went ahead and ate some sandwiches we packed. We also brought some Lays Potato Chips, so we ate those too. After we'd eaten, it was only 12: 30. So me and my sister played our Nintendo DS's, while the grownups talked together. Finally it was time for people to load the plane. We were in Section 2, so we boarded when the intercom said for our section to board. We waited 30 minutes before take-off, and for the flight, me and my sister watched Bolt. Before the movie was over, we had to shut down all our electronics, for we were landing. YEA! We landed, and rushed out of the plane into the BURNING HOT hallway to the airport itself. We went to Baggage Claim and claimed all our bags, and went off to get the rental car to drive to Marco Island.



45 minutes later......




"Hello Great Grandma and Great Grandpa!" We had arrived at the Dutchess condimonium, where my great-grandparents lived. We hugged, and kissed after we'd met up together, we went down to the Marriott where we were staying. (:-) TEE HEE) but when we got up to the desk to go to our room.........WE WERE IN THE WRONG HOTEL!!!!!!!! My Grandy had actually made reservations at the Marco Beach Resort, a few blocks down from the Marriott. Then, we went and got our baithing suits on and we played in the pool and went and played down at the beach. Then we came back inside, and went out to eat at Su's Garden, a Chinese restraunt that we'd gone to the last time we went there. That night, everyone had a good night's sleep, because the next day would be FUN...


THE NEXT DAY:




We got dressed in our baithing suits, flip flops and cover-ups and went down to eat breakfast. Then afterwards, we went to the pool and swam and then went to the beach and walked for a long ways. Afterwards, we went to eat lunch with my great-grandparents....LEFTOVER CHINESE. Yum! Then we went back down to the water to play some more. Then we went to eat dinner at a place called Verdi's (Green's) where service was slow, and it was boring. So after me, my dad and my sister ate, everyone was still waiting for their food, and we were bored. So we went outside with Mommy's camera and we took funny pictures. Belle's favorite was the one where she was hiding behind a lampost and I was hiding behind a tree. She calls it 'NARNIA'. After we went back to the hotel, we had a good night's sleep.



THE NEXT DAY:



We ate breakfast, and then went down to the pool and played with new diving sticks we got at a surf shop called ALVIN'S ISLAND. Then, we went and ate some lunch and then went back to the beach. After we'd played the rest of the day, we went to eat dinner and got some sleep that night after me and Belle watched some of PRINCESS PROTECTION PROGRAM.




THE NEXT DAY we were to leave bright and early. Boo :-(. We went back to the airport and flew home that afternoon. We are now back here in Georgia, but I still wish we were back in Marco, the most fun beach ever!

Zoo Atlanta FUN!!!!

Yesterday, me, Isabelle, Mom, Grandma, Mozzie, Aunt Anne, and my cousin Christopher, went to Zoo Atlanta. We were going to see Naked Mole Rats, because when we were at the bookstore one Wednesday, Grandma saw a book called The Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed. After she had read it to Belle's class, and when we were in Arizona, Mom and Grandma looked up Naked Mole Rats and found out they were really naked. Grandma wanted to go to the zoo and see them for real, so for Mother's Day, we gave her a certificate, certifying that we would go to see them. So, yesterday we went to Zoo Atlanta, to see the Naked Mole Rats. But instead of just seeing them, we saw a whole lot of other animals! Gorillas, orangutans, zebras, giraffes, ostriches, tortoises, flamingos, otters, pigs, pandas, Komodo dragons, and we even went to Parakeet Adventure, where you buy a seed stick and you hold it out to parakeets, and they fly on your stick and eat the seeds! We also saw kangaroos, and weirdly enough, they looked kind of like Gracie!!!!!!! After we saw the other animals, we went to the naked mole rats! There was a way of getting in like you were a naked mole rat, for you went through a tunnel. I crawled in there with my sister, and when we came out, we were surrounded by NAKED MOLE RATS!!! They were separated into tons of different boxes, and they were connected by tunnels. There were little TVs that you could watch the naked mole rats crawl through them! They looked tiny, and pink and they were funny looking with their little teeth.


After we saw all the animals, we went to the Gift Shop to see if they had any Naked Mole Rat T-Shirts. Unfortunately they didn't, but Belle did get a baby panda which she named Peter, and I got a Naked Mole Rat which I named.....Nudey!!!!! :-)

Funkhana Friday

The day we were leaving was Friday, and also the day Tanque Verde Ranch had it's Winter Funkhana. The Funkhana is where horses compete in games, and you win ribbons. First, they started with the Buckaroo group. They did the Keyhole, which is where you try to stay inside a marked area, and they did the Egg Race where you hold a egg on a spoon. (My sister, Isabelle was not in the Buckaroo group, cause she had moved up to the Wranglers.) Next they had the Lopers (my group) and we did events such as the Keyhole and Barrels. Me and my horse Kermit got 2nd place in the Keyhole and no place in the Barrels. Next they had the Wrangler group. Isabelle, my friend from California; Elliot, and my friend from Washington; Jamison were in that group. They first did the Keyhole and Jamison got 1st, and Isabelle got 3rd. Next they had the Barrels and Jamison got 2nd and Isabelle got 3rd. GO GIRLS! In the end, Elliot also got a ribbon. They all did great! But then we had to leave and before we did, Mom got a picture of me, Elliot, Isabelle, and Jamison (which I now have framed in a TVR frame in my room) and it was a masterpiece. But then, we went to the office and I wanted to stay a little longer to be with Elliot. We hugged, but then we had to leave. I CAN'T WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR FOR THE TANQUE VERDE RANCH TRIP!


I love Tanque Verde Ranch and I miss everything there.

My Tanque Verde Ranch Week (SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY)

Last Friday when my class went on a field trip to the Gwinnett Heritage Center, I was super excited. Why? CAUSE I WAS GOING TO ARIZONA THAT DAY! How cool is that? Right after I got done with school, my mom and dad picked up Isabelle and took us to the airport. When we got to the airport, I couldn't wait! I was way to excited. My Grandy let me type on his laptop to calm me down, but I couldn't! So I typed about TANQUE VERDE RANCH. It was kind of like a brochure. After another hour, it was finally time to get on the plane. After we took off, they told us we could use our electronics, so my dad let us watch movies. And he surprised us by bringing our favorite movie that they just bought Bolt! After we landed we went to the Fairfield Inn. We stayed the night there and the next day, Tanque Verde Ranch's van would come to pick us up and take us to the Ranch. That was Fantastic Friday.

The next morning, Gus, the manager, took us to the ranch. Since he's the family friend, we chatted and he went fast over 'The Dips' the family fun ride. What happens is you go over the dips and you feel like your flying! When we got to the ranch, me and Belle went to the Kids' Camp. That day she was a Buckaroo and I was a Wrangler Kid. As a Wrangler Kid, you get to go on Trail Rides and such. That was Super Saturday.

Next I'm talking about Supremely 'SWEET' Sunday. That day we also had fun. We got to go to the pool which has a waterfall! Me and my friend Elliot made up a game called Superhero Island, which is a really fun game! We played for an hour! After that, me and my family had some popcorn from the 'Dog' House Saloon.

Third, I'm talking about Marvelous Monday. That day, my sister met a new friend named Jamison. She is from Washington. I think that's pretty cool. I also became her friend later on, but you'll learn about that later.

It's time for Terrific Tuesday. That day me and Elliot became friends with Jamison too, and that day we hired Isabelle and Jamison for Superhero Island. Isabelle was Flower Power and Jamison was Tropical Breeze. Cool huh?

Wonderful Wednesday was Elliot's birthday. He turned 8 that day. It was a great day. At dinner we gave him a gift, a sock doll. He named it Mr. Sockie. Totally Awesome Thursday was also fun. I got into the Lope Class! Since I'd loped the day before, Nancy, a counselor, told Lisa, another counselor that I'd be in the Lope Class! Fun! You'll hear about Friday on another blogging window.

I'M A WINNING AUTHOR!!!!!!!!!

There's something called the Georgia Young Authors Competition, and every single person from my school was entering. My teacher gave my class a topic, a diary of an animal. And she gave me a bee. What you'd do is you'd write a story and you'd turn it into the writing teacher. So I wrote my story. (And my hands and brain did the work. Not my stinger (tee hee!) And then the writing teacher would pick two people from each class to go to the one person competition! AND I WAS ONE OF THE TWO FROM MY CLASS!!! Me and my friend Katelynn Moon were the two girls from my class. And we were competing in the ONE PERSON competition, which is where the writing teacher picks one person from each class out of the two winners. And yes.....I WAS THE ONE FROM MY CLASS!!!!! I was so excited! Now, I have to wait and see if I'm the one from my entire grade to go to the state competition! I'll update when I get back results!!!! :-)
